Girl and Bird

This painting captures my daughter Gabby about to stroke her pet cockatiel Suki
waiting in anticipation, the latter lowers her head in trust. Gabby is also delighted to engage in this tender moment.
The close up, zoomed in depiction with persimmon orange touches of the cockatiel’s cheeks
reflected in the girl’s own cheeks visually enhances their connection and the painted solid red deep sides condenses the image.
