Lebohang was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He currently resides in Palmridge township. He studied printmaking at Artist Proof Studio – an arts school in Johannesburg, where he graduated in 2012 and since then, has continued to make his impact in the South African arts scene.

A central thread that runs through his work is the presence of grandparents as moral mentors. His artwork is inspired by the journey travelled by his grandfather, who was the lead singer and organist for the Amajembe Jazz Band in South Africa. Ironically, Lebohang was born on the same day his grandfather died. Almost everything his grandfather did during his lifetime is similar to his own life.
